About the Journal
Al-Rafidain Journal of Medical Sciences (AJMS) is a peer-reviewed international journal published by Al-Rafidain University College, Baghdad, Iraq. The journal’s full text is available online at www.ajms.iq The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive the final accepted version of the articles on any compliant institutional/subject-based repository. Publishing in the AJMS complies with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and endorses the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals, as well as the GPP3 guidelines regarding authorship. Submission of a manuscript to the AJMS implies that all authors have read and agreed to its content and that the manuscript conforms to the journal’s policies.

Important Update
Publication charge was changed for accepted submissions after January 1st, 2025 onward:
- For authors resident in Iraq: Article processing fee of 500,000 ID (tax included in price) applies to all the accepted articles after January 1st, 2025. Bank charges must be defrayed by the authors.
- For foreign authors: Article processing fee of 500 US Dollars (tax included in price) applies to all the accepted articles after January 1st, 2025.
